Statement of Support

Haw Creek

As a concerned citizen of Bartholomew/Shelby County, I hereby support the request that the following described drain, locally known as Haw Creek, be taken under the jurisdiction of the Joint Bartholomew/Shelby County Drainage Board as a Regulated Drain under Indiana Code 36-9-27-19.

Beginning at the confluence with the East Fork of the White River in the Northeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 9 North, Range 5 East; thence Northeasterly, through the City of Columbus, a distance of approximately 6.2 miles to a point 2,105 feet East and 1,257 feet South of the North corner of the East and West Halves of the Northeast Quarter of Section 5, Township 9 North, Range 6 East. Said ending point being the beginning of the Francis M. Overstreet Regulated Drain as described in the Surveyor's Report of 1936.

If you are interested in helping us get the word out to the community about this project, you may download a printable copy of the Statement of Support here to circulate among others who share in the concern to address the proposal to fix Haw Creek.
